Sterling Publications Ltd founded following the development of controlled circulation publications and outbound call centre sales techniques.
1980s 

Developments in international telecommunications enabled Sterling to access a global advertising market extending its services to a global audience.
1986

Sterling Publishing Group (SPG) floated on the London Stock Exchange
1987

SPG acquires Cornhill Publications Ltd and Debrett’s Limited
1996

Simone Kesseler appointed chief executive
1997

Derek Watson appointed group financial director
1998

Launched Quasar International Communications
1999

Acquired Net Resources International (NRI), a provider of vertically aligned internet reference sites
2000

Rapidly expanded internet services into over 20 markets and sectors.
2002

Launched first business summit to huge success
